Biography:
Coach Marcie Flood is entering her 3rd year as the Head Varsity Girls Swim and Dive Coach and 4th year as the Head Middle School Swim and Dive Coach at Grand Ledge. She began her coaching career working for Grand Ledge Aquatics as a youth swim instructor. Coach Flood has provided aquatic opportunities to the Grand Ledge community for 20 years and currently is the Grand Ledge Public Schools Aquatic Coordinator. She has previously served as an assistant coach for Grand Ledge Dolphins, Mid Michigan Aquatics, Grand Ledge Area Swim Club, the Grand Ledge Middle School Swim and Dive team, as well as for the Grand Ledge Special Olympics team. Coach Flood led the Boys Middle School Swim and Dive team to win the district championship in 2023 and 2024 and the Girls Middle School Swim and Dive team to runner up in 2024.
Coach Flood is 2008 alumni of Grand Ledge High School. She achieved a Varsity letter in swimming and track and field while also participating in marching band.
Coach Flood is the mother of 4 children, Elizabeth, Brody, Nolan, and Joshua. Outside of the pool, she enjoys spending time with her children and camping.
