Middle School Swim & Dive
6th-8th Grade Boys and Girls
The Grand Ledge Middle School Swim and Dive Team allows 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Grand Ledge students to swim and dive for their school and compete as Grand Ledge Middle School athletes. Both current swimmers/divers and new swimmers/divers are WELCOME :)
Prerequisites:
Swimmers must be able to continuously swim 50 yards freestyle and 100 yards backstroke without assistance and in a strong manner.
Parent Meeting
An informational parent meeting will take place Wednesday, November 6th at 6:30 pm in the Sawdon Administrative Conference Room located at 220 Lamson St, Grand Ledge, MI 48837.

Evaluations:
This is a MANDATORY evaluation for all athletes interested in being on the team this season. Season eligibility, practice times and groups will be determined by these evaluations.
All athletes must be registered prior to entering the water
Swimmers: Monday, November 11th @ Beagle Competition Pool
5:30 - 7:30 pm
Divers: Wednesday, November 13th @ High School Pool
5:30 - 7 pm
Swim Practices:
Monday, December 2nd - Thursday, January 23rd
Practices will take place 2-3 times a week for about 1.25 hours. Last year, our practices took place right after school at the high school pool. This year, practices will be determined by our team size and pool availability.
Practice days/times will be announced by Friday, November 22nd.
Dive Practices:
Monday, December 2nd - Thursday, January 23rd
Practices will take place 2-3 times a week for 1 hour. Last year, our practices took place right after swim practice at the high school pool. This year, practices will be determined by our team size and pool availability.

Team Suit Information:
Here are the links for our team suit this season...
Team suits are only to be worn at swim meets. Any other competitive one piece suit, jammer, or brief may be worn at practices. Bikinis and trucks are not appropriate swimwear for our team.
Cost:
Registration: $175 by Monday, November 11th at 8 am
Late Registration: $190 by Thursday, December 5th, as space permits
Each swimmer will receive a GL swim cap and T Shirt
