Biography:
Coach Luke Charter is entering his 3rd year as Head Varsity Basketball Coach. Coach Charter is a 2004 graduate of Grand Ledge High School, where he played varsity basketball and won a conference title. Following high school, Coach went on to play college basketball for Hall of Fame Coach Mike Ingram at Lansing Community College. During his time, his teams were able to win conference, state, and regional championships while finishing number 5 in the country in the national tournament.
Coach Charter has coached various levels of basketball in Grand Ledge at the high school and middle school levels, dating back to 2008.
He and his wife, Emily, have four children that attend GLPS, and they are his biggest supporters.
Coach Charter states that his greatest basketball moment is, "I get to have my father, Dewey Charter, on my staff as an assistant. He was a college coach; he coached me growing up; he always tries to pull the best out of me; now I get to tell him what to do."
