The Lady Comets have been out to a solid start this season, with a 5-3 record and 3-0 in conference play.

The team continues to prove it is a balanced squad that uses its depth and quickness to their advantage. In 8 games there have been 7 different players walking away as high scorer for the night.

Tuesday night the Comets played The Everett Vikings, defeating the CAAC Blue opponent 61-4.  Liz Lopez lead the way with 16 points followed by Ava Scanlon with 11 pts, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and a block shot.

Last Thursday the team took a trip down to Byron Center for their first contest of 2020. The Lady Comets has a slow start finding themselves down 41 - 22 at the half.  Second half was more competitive but the damage had been done, 62-42 being the final. Morgan Hetherington took top honors with 10 points, 3 assists and 3 steals. Taylor Piper chipped in 7 points and grabbed a couple steals as well.

Conference play continues and really starts to heat up with East Lansing (Jan 17), DeWitt (Jan 21) and Holt (Jan 24) on the docket next.
