    Steven Weaver is joining the Men’s High School Swim and Dive program as the head coach for the 2023-2024 season. He comes with over 30 years of experience in the sport. He was a swimmer at the age group, high school, USA swimming, and collegiate levels. He was a three time high school captain and four year MHSAA state competitor. He went on to swim and be a captain at Oakland University.  

     His coaching experiences range from teaching swim lessons to coaching at many levels. He has coached at the club level for Jenison, Marshall, and Grand Ledge.  

     He has coached USA swimming for the JAWS program in Jenison and for the Oakland Live Y-ers as well as many individual athletes. For Middle School/Junior High swimming Steven has coached for Jenison and Marshall. At the High School level he has coached for Jenison, Harper Creek, and Marshall.  

    Steven has also coached with Olivet College and Albion College as a volunteer coach, been a pool coordinator, has a Master’s Degree Focus in Coaching from MSU, and has coached high school water polo. He is excited to bring his experience to Grand Ledge and carry on a family legacy. His father was a pool and school record holder as well as a member of the first Grand Ledge Swim Team.  Get ready for a Grand Legendary Season!!
