Middle School 6th~7th~8th Grade

Who Can Join?

6th, 7th & 8th graders in the Grand Ledge Community including: Grand Ledge Public Schools, St. Michael's New Covenant Christian, Our Savior Lutheran, St. Gerard's and Home Schoolers that live within the GLPS District.

What Is It All About?

Competitive Cheer is designed to teach and train athletes for competition in accordance with MHSAA Rules and Regulations. This sport includes all aspects of cheer including: cheer, motions, jumps, tumbling, and so much more. Coaches will train athletes by promoting positivity and building up strong, confident, respectful athletes while having fun, teaching lessons through teamwork and making memories that will last a lifetime.

Practices: (Begin November 13, 2023)

Practices ~ Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays: 6:30-8:00 p.m. @ Sawdon Gym

Tumbling ~ Wednesdays TBD @ Sawdon Gym

1st Week of Practice: 

Mon. 11/13 - 6-8pm

Tue. 11/14 (No Practice) & Wed. 11/15 (No Tumbling)

Thur. 11/16 - 6:30-8pm

Sun. 11/19 - 12-4pm (Mandatory Choregraphy Day)

Week of Thanksgiving Practice:

Mon. 11/20 & Tue. 11/21 - 6:30-8pm

Wed. 11/22 & Thurs. 11/23 - No Practice

No practices will be held 12/25-12/28 & 1/1-1/4

Competitions: (Subject to change)

December 9th - TBD

January 20, 2024 - Grand Ledge

January 27, 2024 - Holt

February 3, 2024 - Saline

February 10, 2024 - TBD

Cost:

$450 - Includes: registration fee, competition fees, tumbling, shoes, bow, warm-ups & uniform

(uniform must be returned after the season is complete)

OPTIONAL PAYMENT PLAN (if needed):

The fee can be made in payments on the following dates:

November 12, 2023 - All participants MUST be registered and pay at least $225 by this date

December 17, 2023 - 2nd payment of $225 is due

Please Note: failure to have the $450 paid in full by December 17, 2023 will result in participant not being allowed to participate in practices or competitions until payment is received.

Cheer is very dependent of each member on the team. It's important that each athlete is committed to attending every mandatory practice and competition. This program runs 10 weeks.
