Comets Capture First Softball Classic Title since 2005 with 7-1 win over Leslie

The Grand Ledge Varisty Softball team brought home the Greater Lansing Softball Classic Championship with a convincing 7-1 victory against Leslie at Ranney Park in Lansing.
The Comets defeated Williamston and Fowlerville earlier in the week to advance to the title game. Grand Ledge already had wrapped up the CAAC Blue Championship and now improves to 25-8 heading into MHSAA Tournament play Tuesday at Lansing Eastern. District semifnals and finals are set for Friday, May 31st.
