The Grand Ledge varsity wrestling team qualified four individuals to the MHSAA State Finals scheudled for Friday, March 1st at Ford Field in Detroit.

The individual accomplishments add to what was already an impressive season for the Comets after winning both CAAC Blue and MHSAA District team titles.

Sophomore Logan Tollison led the way for the Comets at the MHSAA Individual Regional at Holt, finishing the day undefeated to capture the Regional title at 215 pounds. Tollison is now an impressive 45-3 overall in matches this season. Sophomore teammate Eben Abdo had a great regional run, placing second at 120 pounds to improve to 48-4 on the season. 

Senior Payton Burmeister clinched a spot at the state finals with a second place finish in the MHSAA Girls' Regional.

Freshman Ashton Delaney battled all day and advanced to the state finals with a third place finish.

All four Comets will begin the State Finals tournament on Friday, March 1st at Ford Field.
