The Grand Ledge Wrestling team captured the MHSAA District Championship on Wednesday, February 7th with convincing victories over Jackson and Holt.

The Comets clinched the CAAC Blue title a week ago and last night ended Holt's 37-year District win streak with a 54-23 victory over the Rams at Holt in the semifinal match. Grand Ledge then cruised past Jackson 59-18 in the championship match.

The wins push the Comets season record to 27-4 heading into the MHSAA Team Regional tournament which will be held on Wednesday, February 14th at Grand Ledge High School. Regional Wrestling will begin at 5:30 with the Comets squaring off against Brighton while Portage Central and Hastings will tangle on the other side of the bracket.
