The Grand Ledge girls' track and field team clinched the MHSAA regional title in thrilling fashion, winning the 1600 meter relay to push them past Howell by only three points for the championship.

The Comet mile relay team of Lauren Hamilton, Kaylah Higbee, Adrianna Callan and Taylor Pangburn beat second place Howell by .51 of a second to win the relay and the meet.

Taylor Pangburn led the way for Grand Ledge, anchoring the winning 1600 meter relay team while also claiming a second place finish in the 800, 1600 and 3200 meter runs. 

Lauren Hamilton placed second in the 400 while teammate Gabi Joseph finished third in the 300 hurdles. Brookelynn Meyers had a second place finish in the Discus along with Ashley Richburg who captured second place in the Long Jump.
