State Representative Angela Witwer was at the Varsity game to present Roger with a Tribute from the Michigan House.

Roger coached both Grand Ledge Football and Baseball at different high school levels. He played basketball for the Army during his service from 1965-1967. Following his tour of duty, Roger took over Baseball in 1967. He ran 5th to 8th grade Grand Ledge Football and scouted all Grand Ledge Varsity Football opponents. For the past several years Roger has served as Game Manager for Comet High School events.

The plaque read the following: IN SPECIAL TRIBUTE, Therefore, this document is signed and dedicated to hour Roger Love, recipient of the 2019 Dick Letts Community Service Award. My he know of our admiration and praise for his hard work and sacrifice to better the Grand Ledge community and the greater Lansing as a whole.
