The Boys Cross Country team had a good day on a challenging course against fierce competition today at the Averill Invitational, hosted by Milford High School at Kensington Metropark. The Varsity Boys placed 3rd behind state-ranked Brighton and Highland-Milford, defeating area rival Lansing Catholic in the process. We will face Brighton again at our MHSAA Regional in late October, when we will work to come out on top over the Bulldogs. On a challenging course, almost all of our returning boys improved year over year in their performance today, with Landon Humphrey, Tristan Rogers, and Esaiah Hutchinson all improving 60+ seconds upon their time from last year. Additionally, Zane Jagger achieved a lifetime personal record today on the hardest course that we will run on all season. Over the next 2 weeks, we will head to the Ottawa Hills Invitational to face off against the best of West Michigan and then to East Lansing for our first CAAC Blue Jamboree.
