The Grand Ledge Track and Field program hosted the MHSAA Division #1 Regional #4, and our Boys and Girls teams each came out of a competitive 16-team regional as Regional Champions! This is the fourth Regional Championship each for the Boys and Girls programs, and the first time in program history when both programs have won Regional Championship in the same year! The Boys finished the meet with 118 points, a whole 44.5 points ahead of runner-up Brighton, a perennially dominant force in Michigan Track and Field. Meanwhile, the girls fought a tight battle with defending champions Okemos, rising powerhouse DeWitt, and an East Lansing team elevated by a nationally ranked sprinter, still coming out 10 points ahead of runner-up Okemos and 18 points ahead of DeWitt and East Lansing, who finished tied for third-place. The Regional also produced a huge number of MHSAA State Finals Qualifiers and historic performances for our student-athletes that we would love to highlight. These athletes will compete at the MHSAA Division 1 Finals at Rockford High School on May 30th, with several athletes contending for All-State Honors and even State Championships!
